All full-time students are welcomed to vote for one of the candidates for each post.
Please refer to their posters or talk to them personally to know them better.

28/4/2011 (Thursday) 10am-2pm
Venue: Auditorium for both dates
Note: Please bring your student card



The announcement of results will be made at 4pm on 28/4/2011, at the auditorium.

Collection of Disaster Relief Fund

The Students' Council Board is collecting disaster relief fund for East Japan.
A donation box is located at the Student Service Office in S-building.
Donation of any amount is welcomed and much appreciated.

100% of the fund will be handed to Malaysian Red Crescent which is working in conjunction with Japanese Red Cross. DONATION WILL NOT BE MISUSED.

CLINIQUE Roadshow 2011

Fun and educational activities for students will be held at SEGi College Penang (free of charge). Students will also be able to purchase CLINIQUE products at special promotion prices.

-Time: 12.00-1.30pm / 4.00-5.30pm

Campaign Objectives
-To educate students on the importance of basic skincare
-To cultivate practice of self-grooming among students
-To create awareness of the wide-range variety of skincare products that caters to every individual needs

Students Activities
1. CLINIQUE Grooming Workshop (12.00PM-1.30PM)
a) Tips on skin care, grooming and make-up
b) Quick simple games to win attractive prizes from CLINIQUE
c) Participants get to walk away with CLINIQUE Goodie Bags worth RM200.00

2. CLINIQUE Roadshow (4.00PM-5.30PM)
a) Free individual skin consultation
b) Free CLINIQUE 3-step Skincare samples, custom-fitted for individual's skin type
c) Discounted Student Set of CLINIQUE products

Prom Night DVD Set

Belated "Happy New Year!" from the Students' Council


-Prom Night DVD Set (2 DVD for videos, 1 DVD and 1 CD for photos) will be on sale
-We are setting up a booth from 19th-26th of Jan. around lunch hours to take orders
-If you wish to order the set(s), please drop by at the booth in S-building lobby
-Deposit of RM10 is required upon ordering (the price of the set is RM 20)
-Dates of collection are 27th and 28th of January (please pay RM10 then)

Event Report: Annual Prom Night 20/11/2010 (2)

(Continued from the previous post)

There was a prize presentation for SEGi Macromedia Flash Competition held in August. The winner is Yap Mun Kheong from DIBA.

The prize was presented by Mr Sunny Koh to Mun Kheong's representative, Wesley

The first surprise of the night was GGG award -"Glitz and Glamour Guy" and "Glitz and Glamour Girl". 3 male and 3 female candidates were selected by judges, based on their attire.

GGG's won the title prizes and other four received consolation prizes

The last highlight of the night was Prom King and Queen contest. 6 finalists did catwalk and each answered a question.

Event Report: Annual Prom Night 20/11/2010 (1)

Annual Prom Night was held on the 20th of November at Eastin Hotel, with the theme "A Night of Glitz and Glamour". We had approximately 400 guests in the grand event: students from various courses, staff and special guests.


At the beginning, everyone in the ballroom enjoyed the opening dance by Purplicious
Dance Troupe.

Then a presidential speech was given by Lim Yee Harng.

It was followed by Mr Jeffrey Goh's speech.

The Principal of SEGi College Penang

After food presentation, first highlight of the night -SEGi's Got Talent final was held. SEGi's Got Talent was the first talent competition at SEGi College Penang where contestants had opportunities to show any kinds of talent (except singing). Three finalists performed on
the stage.

-Dance to mash-up of English songs-

SEGi's Got Talent final was followed by another highlight of the night, SEGi Idol final. The contest organised by Business Executive Club was founded in 2008, and this year, four categories were introduced: English, Chinese, Malay and Tamil. Five finalists sang songs
in four different languages; there were two finalists in English category.
